2026 INSURCON Agent Registration (Formerly Annual Conference)

Join us April 7–8 for a dynamic, two-day conference experience designed to educate, connect, and inspire Oklahoma’s independent insurance professionals.

The event begins April 7 with a morning Golf Tournament at Lincoln Park West, providing a fun and competitive way to connect with peers before the conference officially kicks off. The evening is open for company dinners or client gatherings, followed by a signature networking event, “Keys for a Cause: OK-PAC Edition.” This lively evening features dueling piano entertainment while supporting OK-PAC, with drink tickets and light desserts included.

On April 8, attendees will enjoy a full day of impactful education, industry conversation, and celebration. The day opens with an Insurance Commissioner Candidate Forum, offering direct insight from candidates on issues affecting Oklahoma’s insurance community. Educational sessions throughout the day focus on strengthening agencies and communities, with topics including severe weather resilience, building science, agency technology optimization, E&O, education pathways, and artificial intelligence. With multiple breakout sessions—many offering producer/CSR General Continuing Education credit—attendees can tailor their experience to their professional goals. Midday programming includes a luncheon with industry updates, awards, and a keynote on transforming mental health in the workplace, followed by an interactive Partner Showcase (Trade Show) to connect with trusted industry partners and explore new solutions.

      • We’ve all faced having to explain to a client, that just because they want it covered, doesn’t mean they can get it insured. Or, better yet, what if what they want isn’t in their best interest? Requests like these can get tricky, fast. In this class, we’ll take a look at some common client requests and provide helpful E&O risk mitigation tips you can use to bring a bit more certainty to some of the gray areas within insurance.

      • The Strengthen Oklahoma Homes Program provides grants to Oklahoma residents for residential wind and hail mitigation on new and existing, owner-occupied, primary resident single-family homes. Funding for this Program is provided by the insurance industry in Oklahoma and is not funded from the state’s general budgets. Attendees will leave this session with a deeper understanding of the criteria for grants, coverage of grants, insurance premium savings, information on contractors and evaluators, and a stronger appreciation for the Strengthen Oklahoma Homes Program overall.

This session, led by meteorologist and science producer Rachael Penton Gauthier, explores how the Insurance Institute for Business & Home Safety (IBHS) translates cutting edge research into actionable strategies for risk mitigation. Attendees will learn about the FORTIFIED Program, building code impacts, real-world damage investigations, and science-based solutions for severe weather and wildfire resilience. Discover IBHS resources to educate clients, reduce claims, and build stronger communities. The session includes case studies, practical mitigation tips, and a Q&A tailored for insurance professionals.

Casey Nelson

Casey Nelson is a dynamic professional with a unique background. Casey spent nine years as a high school teacher and coach before diving into the insurance world in 2015. Since then, he's served as COO of a successful agency and even managed a roofing company. In 2021, he founded StakWise, where he brings his passion for teaching, technology, and sports together to help independent agents optimize their operations through data automation.  Casey is equal parts teacher, nerd, sports fan, and all-around relatable guy. His mission is to empower agencies to leverage their technology in a way that’s both effective and easy to understand


Justin Goodman

Justin Goodman brings over 20 years of insurance industry expertise as a third-generation professional in the field. By the age of 29, he was recognized as one of the top five construction insurance experts nationwide by Risk and Insurance Magazine. As CEO and co-founder of Total CSR, he has developed training programs that have reached more than 70,000 customer service representatives, account managers, and producers across the United States. He also serves as Managing Director and co-founder of Project 55, a non-profit focused on transforming mental health outcomes in the workplace. His work has earned him recognition as one of the 2024 Insurance Journal Agents of the year and named to Insurance Business Magazine’s Hot 100 list.


Dale Steinke

Dale Steinke is Director of the Agent for the Future Advisors for Liberty Mutual and Safeco Insurance, representing an informational resource that drives innovation in the independent agency system. As an artificial intelligence (AI) advocate and evangelist, Dale empowers independent insurance agencies to adapt to rapid changes in technology and evolving customer expectations, equipping agents with digital tools and strategies to attract prospects, impress clients and drive business growth. As a former journalist with over 20 years of experience in digital-first marketing and sales enablement, Dale shares valuable insights for integrating technology into sales, marketing and agency operations with a strong focus on how AI is reshaping our industry. A self-described usability geek, Dale continuously explores and shares innovative ways for agents to leverage emerging technologies, from generative AI tools to operational agency solutions. A trusted authority in the industry, Dale shares his expertise through one-on-one coaching, podcast interviews, in industry publications and mainstage conference sessions.


Ashley Scott

Ashley Scott is the Deputy Commissioner of External Affairs at the Oklahoma Insurance Department. In her role, Ashley is responsible for Government and Community Affairs, the Consumer Assistance division, the Strengthen Oklahoma Homes division, and PBM-related issues at the national level. During the 18 years she has served the State of Oklahoma, Ashley has earned a reputation for integrity, authenticity, and diligence. Previously, Ashley served as the legislative liaison at the Oklahoma State Department of Health and has a long history of policy work at the Oklahoma State Capitol. She began working at the House of Representatives in 2007 and quickly rose through the ranks, working under the Majority Floor Leader, the Speaker Pro Tempore, and as the legislative coordinator for two Speakers. Ashley has a bachelor’s degree in English from the University of Central Oklahoma. Ashley was born and raised in Choctaw, Oklahoma, where she now resides with her husband, Mark, and their three daughters.


James LaDue

James G. LaDue is a master Instructor for the National Weather Service Warning Decision Training Division. While at WDTD, he is a team leader in developing courses for NWS forecasters on the warning decision-making for winter storms, severe thunderstorms and tornadoes. He recently served as acting Director of the National Windstorm Impact Reduction Program at the National Institute for Standards and Technology. In 2007, James led a team to develop and disseminate the EF-Scale course to the NWS.  He has led further development in training to cover all aspects of damage surveying that the NWS conducts.  James currently chairs and is co-founder of a standards committee on estimating wind speeds of severe storms within the American Society for Civil Engineers (ASCE).  The committee’s goal is to develop a consistent research to operations path on all available methods in estimating wind speeds from post-storm damage such as the EF Scale to wind speed measurements using radar and anemometry.  He was also the co-founder and first of the committee on engineering resilient communities in the American Meteorological Society (AMS).  He is a member of the AMS, ASCE and the National Weather Association (NWA).  He currently is an American Meteorological Society Certified Consulting Meteorologist. James received an editor’s award for exceptional paper reviews in 2018 from the AMS,  and has been on several team awards including the Larry R. Johnson Award from the NWA, the DOC Gold Medal Team award in 2014, and DOC Bronze Medal Team award in 2005. 


Rachael Penton Gauthier

As a Meteorologist & Science Content Producer, Rachael Penton Gauthier is a meteorologist and science content producer at the Insurance Institute for Business & Home Safety (IBHS). She transforms resilience research into engaging content through the Disaster Discussions podcast, live events, and media campaigns like Hurricane Ready and Thunderstorm Ready. Her work spans wind, hail, wildfire, and wind-driven rain, and she is an FAA- certified drone pilot supporting post-event assessments and field studies. Previously Chief Meteorologist and reporter at KALB-TV, Rachael holds a B.S. in Meteorology and an M.S. in Geoscience and is an AMS Certified Broadcast Meteorologist.


Rachel RIley

Rachel Riley, Director, Southern Climate Impacts Planning Program, University of Oklahoma, has over a decade of experience co-producing useful and usable research and information that helps communities and states in the South Central U.S. better plan for and respond to climate-related challenges. She has expertise in climate adaptation and hazard mitigation planning, communication, decision support tool evaluation, and social science methodologies. Riley holds a B.S. in meteorology from Iowa State University and an M.S. in interdisciplinary studies (communication and meteorology) from the University of Oklahoma.


Greg Sandrock

Greg Sandrock is a primary owner of The Cornerstone Agency in Tampico, Illinois. He was installed as Big “I” chair elect in September 2025. Sandrock was the president of Big I of Illinois and served as their national director, prior to joining the Big “I” Executive Committee in 2022. Over the years, he has taken on key leadership roles, including serving as a member and chairman of the Big “I” Crop Task Force, as well as a member of the InsurPac Board of Trustees, the Big “I” Steering Committee, and the Big “I” Government Affairs Committee. In particular, Sandrock is a passionate advocate for the importance of crop insurance. Using his expertise and strong connections on Capitol Hill, he makes sure farm agents’ concerns are heard and addressed during crucial farm bill negotiations. Sandrock owns The Cornerstone Agency along Todd Mickley and his sons, Luke and Tyler. It is a family-owned business that serves clients across Illinois and the Midwest from five locations.


Bob Sullivan

Bob Sullivan is a fourth-generation Oklahoman, husband, and dad who has spent the last two decades protecting Oklahoma families and small businesses as a property and casualty insurance professional. He’s a fighter, not a career politician—known for helping clients navigate complex coverage issues and standing up to “big insurance” when it matters most. Bob is active in his community as an Eagle Scout and former president of the Rotary Club of Southside Tulsa, and he has served in leadership roles with Youth Services of Tulsa, Youth at Heart, Clubhouse Tulsa, and MODUS. He is also a member and leader at Calvary Baptist Church in Inola.

Bob’s professional credentials include CIC, CRM, CPCU, Associate in Fidelity & Surety Bonding, and Certified Environmental Specialist. He works with Alera Group in Tulsa and previously served at Rich & Cartmill (2010–2022). Bob and his wife, Jennifer, are proud parents to Sulley and Linley—and dog parents to their adopted pup, Sammy.


Chris Merideth

Chris Merideth has spent almost twenty-five years in the insurance industry, working alongside agents, legislators, and community leaders to modernize insurance and make it work for families in Oklahoma and across the country. As Government Affairs Manager for Farmers Insurance, he’s helped shape reforms and championed stronger building standards like the FORTIFIED Homes program. Chris brings a vast national perspective on how other states are tackling the risk crisis and wants to apply best practices in Oklahoma. Chris is running for Insurance Commissioner because he believes the answer to the crisis we’re facing isn’t in the past — it’s going to take new thinking, new leadership, and collaboration across the state to lower rates by reducing costs, risks and restore trust in our system.


Marty Quinn

Marty Quinn is a small business owner, insurance professional, Oklahoma state legislator (2010-2022)  and long-time conservative leader with a passion for protecting the people of Oklahoma.  He has over 4 decades of industry experience, from local agent and manager to agency owner.  His legislative experience brings one of the most conservative and pro-taxpayer voting records in Oklahoma and has been an advocate for small businesses, families, and Oklahoma communities.  During his tenure, he served as Asst Majority Leader and Chairman of Insurance & Retirement Committee.  Marty will be a strong voice for taxpayers and businesses – striking the right balance between regulating the industry and enabling companies to thrive, while ensuring consumers benefit from a competitive market, fair coverage and the timely honoring of their claims.  He will stand up for fairness, accountability and opportunity.  As proud parents of 2 grown children, Lynsay and Tyler, Marty and his wife Kelley have shared more than 40 wonderful years together.  A former deacon and teacher at Blue Starr Church of Christ, Marty brings the same Christian values of integrity, compassion and humility that have guided him throughout his life to his service for the people of Oklahoma as Insurance Commissioner.
