Since beginning her career\, Greta specialized in helping hard working Oklahoma families cover what matters most. After earning numerous awards in insurance\, including the Million Dollar Club and President’s Club\, Greta made the tough decision to leave her demanding sales career and grow a small business to make more time for her young family. She successfully operated businesses for over eight years until a tornado destroyed her livelihood and everything she spent many years building in April 2023. While rebuilding the destroyed business\, Greta delved back into insurance to help an agency owner friend. As a city councilwoman for the City of Shawnee\, Greta voted to pass a municipal bond for her Alma Mater\, Oklahoma Baptist University\, to help rebuild after their loss sustained from the same tornado that destroyed her primary business. Meetings with OBU revealed they had been without insurance for months after the torndao due to the carrier not being able to acquire reinsurance—something Greta\, as Insurance Commissioner\, felt she could have helped solve. A few months later when her district caught on fire\, the experience of evacuating people from their homes that day in March of 2025 made Greta realize Oklahomans need an insurance commissioner who is boots-on-the-ground and experienced in loss firsthand. Shortly after this myriad of lifechanging events\, Greta decided to pursue her goal from young agenthood to run for State Insurance Commissioner.  \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nCasey Nelson \n\n\n\nCasey Nelson is a dynamic professional with a unique background.
